) last week (no joke) by a post by Jon Engman ( resume http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Jon_Engman/28257).
the track was “Brother / mechanical /”, the lead track off their sole
full-length Killer Each of You. further
digging led me to a metal distro where the CD was available for purchase. A few
days later and here I am, avoiding the humidity and examining this bizarre
death metal album. Like… really bizarre. Down to the molecules. the
Demilich-as-interpreted-by-their-malfunctioning-robot-selves music, the 1995
CD-Rom artwork that looks like it was designed by your worst nightmare of an
“indoor kid”, the translated lyrics that read like a broken English
approximation of Whitehouse… it truly feels like a death metal album one
hallucinated during a particularly nasty fever dream rather than something that
ever really existed. And yet somehow it has made its way to the corporeal
realm.
a must for fans of surrealistic progressive death metal ala Demilich, Pyrrhon, Artificial Brain, Pillory, Disharmonic Orchestra, and the like
