i'm pretty much in "whatever" mode about the PE genre at this current stage, but something about this project just checks all my boxes. i'd hesitate to use the term "nostalgia", but it feels closer to the first wave of American PE (Deathpile, Slogun, Bloodyminded) and insanely vicious Italian projects than whatever is being sperged out by iron-deficient hipsters.
it might be uncouth of me to mention this release, as i'm thanked on it and i've been in regular friendly contact with MZ for quite a few years... but also no one cares and/or reads blogs anymore, so whatever; i'd be all about this shit regardless. cold, rhythmic, picturesque, menacing... everything you could want out of an industrial record.
early contender for my top metal album of the year. impeccable all around. a must for those of us who remain dying of thirst for more groups in the gooey vein of Cattlepress, Succumb, Sepulcher, Reveal.

hands down my favorite new personal discovery of 2019 is the victoriously vile Miscarriage. this release picks up on sludgy climax of their otherwise grind record Homicidal Mania Trilogy,
Neurosis meets the Breeders.
my favorite metal release of the year so far. after 30 years they just keep improving, expanding their imaginations and widening the scope of their diseased reality.
only good thing to come out of getting ghosted on FetLife was receiving this recommend before the disappearing act was pulled.
taps into the malicious smart ass spirit of early 00s post DEP mathcore before it got hijacked by terminally "wacky" Nicktoon enthusiasts like iwrestledabearonce and "crabcore" jerkoffs.
